Pingan Hou
President
Pingan has called Fort Lee home for over a decade. Following the Linwood Park fire in 2019, she led a first-ever community fundraising effort among local Chinese residents for the fire victims. The community’s overwhelming response moved her and motivated her and others to form the FLCA. She is eager to rally the Chinese residents to serve the community, promote cultural exchange, and strengthen and grow the community together.
As a registered nurse, Pingan has worked at a hospital and a long-term home care agency for 15 years. Previously, she was a college instructor in China. Throughout her life, Pingan has sought to be a helping hand and to create positive change.

Minrong Yang
Vice President
Minrong has built her life in Fort Lee for almost three decades and looks forward to further contributing to the Fort Lee community and to sharing the goals and mission of the FLCA. She became a resident in 1990 and has raised two daughters here. While her academic training is in electrical engineering, Minrong has reinvented herself as a dental assistant and licensed x-ray technician at a Fort Lee-based dental care office in order to better balance her family life.

Linjing Yang
Board Member
A first-generation Chinese immigrant, Linjing understands the need for a community resource like the FLCA to present opportunities for Chinese residents to have their voices heard and to give back. Fort Lee has been her adopted home for almost 15 years. With two sons she is raising as native Bridgemen, currently attending Fort Lee High School and School #4, Linjing is an active participant in school and community events. She also has professional roots in town, joining Prudential Insurance’s office in Fort Lee after completing her research work at NYU in 2006.
